Jessica and Bailey’s love story starts alllll the way back in Kindergarten! How special is it to grow up with the person you will someday marry?! These two crushed on each other through middle school and High School, but officially started dating their Senior Year! Getting to photograph their beautiful day at the Old Millstream Centre was such an honor and the golden hour did not disappoint.
Being the adventurous duo they are, Jessica and Bailey took a memorable trip to Michigan in Summer of 2022. One morning, Bailey convinced Jessica to wake up early to catch the sunrise from a gazebo. Little did she know it was so he could propose to her! Such a lovely adventure to mark the beginning of the rest of their lives together.
From first meeting this lovely couple, I could tell Bailey was not into photos that much (as with many Grooms)! He warmed up to it so well and maybe even had fun with it by the end! Even with the initial hesitation, one thing you could tell immediately was how much Jessica and Bailey both care for each other. Their interactions were all so sweet and genuine, even when joking around! One of my favorite things when I asked if they were alright sharing a kiss for some photos was their giggling. They told me how they have never really kissed in from of other people and that they would always do a handshake. Family even joked that they would have a “first handshake” instead of a first kiss for their wedding. Of course we had to photograph this at their engagement session just to be funny!
It’s hard to even begin to talk about the love and emotions shared on their wedding day. The day started out with the gals getting ready at the Hope House behind St. Michael the Archangel Downtown Church. Jessica was so laidback and ready to marry her best friend! All her girls were so happy for her and willing to help with anything she needed. All bridesmaids wore beautiful light blue Morilee dresses from Wendy’s Bridal and the groomsmen looked dashing in their navy suits from Jim’s Formalwear. Everything looked especially lovely with the blue and white flowers arranged by Kathryn’s Farmhouse Flowers.
Jessica shared a beautiful first look with Dad before the ceremony. Her and Bailey also shared a first touch reading and praying together. This was such a special time for them to spend together before the hustle of the day began. One of my favorite activities from the day was when the bride and groom treated their bridal party to Ice Cream at Archie’s between the ceremony and reception! It was such a hit on that hot July wedding day!
The reception at the Old Millstream Center was wonderfully decorated with candles and bright white ceiling embellishments! Of course the couple shared a sweet first dance, but another highlight was a secretly choreographed dance with Jessica and Dad. They truly spent some time learning a lot of dances for this song and had such enthusiasm with it!
All their friends and family showed nothing but love for both Jessica and Bailey throughout the day.. The love poured out in sweet interactions and moments as well in the ceremony toasts. This truly was a wedding to remember and a beautiful way for Jessica and Bailey to begin their lives as Mr. and Mrs. Parke!
